Sam earned his Bachelor’s degree at Wartburg College in 2008. Two months later, he attended the University of Iowa’s Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences program and finished with his DPT in 2010. Since graduate school, Sam has been trained in trigger point dry needling and practices this treatment on a daily basis for a wide variety of conditions. Sam taught Anatomy and Physiology in the evenings for two years at DMACC. He is a member of the Sports Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association, as well as the Nation Strength and Conditioning Association. Sam grew up in Nora Springs, Iowa. He currently lives in West Des Moines with his wife, son and dogs. He spends his free time doing family things and playing sports (basketball, volleyball, softball). He also enjoys cooking for his family, learning to garden, and doing yardwork.
